Seating
Adelphi Theatre Seating Plan
The Adelphi has a fairly large seating capacity, with room for 1,500 on three levels – the Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle. The Adelphi Theatre seating plan is shown in the diagram below.
The Stalls are located on the ground floor of the auditorium and are the closest to the stage. Seats are usually more expensive in the front half of this section, as these are unaffected by the overhang. The whole section is deep, running back to Row X, with seats towards the rear being affected by the overhang of the level above. Premium seats are towards the centre of the section, and provide clear and consistent views of the stage.
The Dress Circle is located above the Stalls and also presents good views. The whole stage can be taken in whilst sitting in this section, which has excellent seats in the first few rows. Seat prices here are usually the same as the Stalls for the front few rows, and are cheaper towards the rear.
The highest level, located above the Dress Circle, is the Upper Circle. If you are in the first couple of rows, views are still clear, but the further back you go, the more distant you can feel from the stage below.
A number of Restricted View seats exist throughout the auditorium. These should be clearly marked on all tickets, and the level of restriction can vary depending on the audience member sat in them. These seats can provide excellent value for money, but they may be unsuitable for those with young children, or for anyone below a certain height.
